TALK ABOUT STYLE
Oct 23
Get a load of these stylish headbanging phones from Matix. The Dompiece is sure to be a real head turner and competitor of last years release of Nixon headphones. The headphones retail for around $75 and with three different colorways to choose from, you’re sure to be in sync. I know whats gonna be on my Christmas list this year.

Purple Out
Oct 23
I think the only reason why purple is one of the hottest colors for the season is because of Prince and the Vikings. I think Prince and the Vikings brought purple back since they’re both from Minnesota. Also, did you know that purple is a symbol of royalty and wealth? You’re going to see purple in everything from snowboards and boots, to t-shirts and jackets. Well I guess you should go buy some purple now. Here are some of my favorite products for this season in purple.

Purple Gear from head to toe
Helmet: Red Hi Fi
Goggle: Electric EG.5
Jacket: Volcom Albedo Women’s jacket
Snow Pants: Bonfire Prism Women’s snow pants
Mitts: Volcom Iller Leather Women’s mitts
Snowboard: Burton Lip Stick 145cm
Bindings: Burton Lexa Ext
Shaun’s very own halfpipe
Oct 22
So I’m sure you have heard by now that Shaun White got his very own halfpipe built for him by Red Bull last season. Yeah, this pipe was sick and incredible and built purely out of natural avalanche snow, and they documented the whole thing so you could see at http://shaunwhite.com/projectx. I suppose when you’re the best at what you do things like that just kinda happen for ya.
Supposedly they are saying that Shaun was able to throw down some pretty sick stuff out there. He spent 34 hours spread over two months in this pipe working on new tricks that no body has ever done before. They said he put together a run that included a Frontside 720, Cab Double Cork, Frontside Double Cork and a Cab 1080. They aren’t telling us a whole lot about any other tricks he was working on, but they are going to shed a little light on November 3rd. So be sure to swing by the site to see what the ‘Flying Tomato’ (stupidest nickname ever) has in store for us.

One more week under his belt
Oct 21
Loui Vito + Argentine Dance = Hotness. I really don’t know that much more can be said about this dance you just have to see for your selves. But one thing is for sure, Loui and Chelsie turned the sex ‘o meter over to fullon. Wow.
Last week there was no doubt that our votes saved him from going home. Well maybe, but his dance really kinda blew. So keep voting! Just think if he had gone home with out your help last week we never would have gotten to see this spiceaaaay little number…
Save The Mellons!
Oct 20
Cans, jugs, knockers, racks, hooters or fun bags, what ever you want to call them all of October they have been the center of attention. Before your head falls in the gutter, what I mean is October has been breast cancer awareness month. I’m sure you’ve seen some adds or promotions in one form or another, they’re kinda hard to miss. But the boarding world has jumped on the band wagon too.
Snowboarding is even bringing a peep show to a town near you. Well, I guess I should say Peep Show, from June Bhongjan and Esthera Preda, is an all girl snowboard video that has been premiering all over the place to support B4BC. They were just down in Orange County, California with a runway show of Roxy and Nikita outerwear. The video is spotlighting talent like Celia Miller, Desiree Melancon, Marie Hucal, Bev Vuilleumier (who just so happens to ride for The House) and Madison Blackley.
Boarding 4 Breast Cancer is a great foundation that promotes early detection and finding a cure, while still keeping the atmosphere and attitude of boarders alive. The B4BC Web site will not only inform you but is also sure to make you laugh out loud at least once. It’s pretty rad. While on their site you also gotta check out some of the T-Shirts you can buy to support the cause, they’re so outrageous.
We also got some stuff here at The House if you’re interested. So if you know someone who has fought breast cancer be sure to represent! Also don’t forget to swing by B4BC’s Web site and check out the Boob Tube.
YES.NOW SNOWBOARDS
Oct 20
YES is the creation of ex Burton team riders David Carrier-Porcheron, Romain de Marchi and JP Solberg. Also including other greats such as Vince Pages and the infamous Tadashi Fuse. Yes is an independent company backed by the people of NDKreative. Yes Boards are made in small runs and will be sold in three limited collections of only 100 boards a year. This allows for small tweaks in design as they progress their brand. Yes is made up of some of the most passionate snowboarders of our time. Surely to be a good product you should check out. When others are claiming superior graphics and technical breakthroughs in design comes a company based on what matters the most, passion for the sport – YES. Get yourself a limited hand painted board before there gone here.
It’s so impressive how snowboarding gets brought to a new amazing level every year. Athletes are double corking their brains out all over the place, off hits that would make the average person crap their pants a little just looking at it, and street rails are at a place where people watching just have to say, “how would you ever think you could actually hit that and live?” Next thing you know we’re going to be seeing 2160’s.
So how, you might ask, did Jeremy Jones manage to up the ante yet again? Well, aside from showing us how to ride one footed with a swively binding, he is now bringing us Deeper. This video is a two year project in partnership with Teton Gravity Research, and will be show casing outstanding big mountain riders such as Jonaven Moore, Travis Rice and Xavier De Le Rue. What is going to make this video so epic is they left behind the limitations of sleds and hellis and they will be hiking everything they want to hit, cameramen included. They have already camped out in Alaska for 27 days and I can’t wait to see what they will have coming next. Keep up on the full story at Teton Gravity Research.
